Every family has a story.
Welcome to ours.
1980
The Beginning
Andia & her parents came to the U.S. from Cyprus, a small island in the Mediterranean, seeking new business opportunities. Her dad started a food distribution company from scratch and instilled in her an entrepreneurial spirit.
1992
The Meet Cute
Andia and George met at a Greek Festival in Staten Island, NY, and instantly connected over their shared desire to one day own their own businesses— they were married a year later.
2008
The Bright Idea
While frequently visiting a local ice cream shop in their hometown in New Jersey, George repeatedly urged his family to consider breaking into the happy field of ice cream. But the heart of it all came from something passed down — George’s grandfather’s antique ice cream scoop from 1922.
2010
Sweet Carolina
Envisioning a better quality of life, Andia, George, and their children, Alyssa and Alex, moved to Cary, NC seeking the opportunity to finally start their own business. Needless to say, they quickly fell in love with the magic of North Carolina.
2012-2017
Lots & Lots of Ice Cream School
In a never-ending pursuit to create the best-tasting ice cream possible, Andia traveled far & wide and learned from some of the best.
2013
The Freezing Pointe
Envisioning a family-friendly, walk-up ice cream shack, Andia and her family created The Freezing Pointe, making Kelvin the Penguin the mascot.
2014
We Cater All Things Ice Cream
While searching for the perfect location, Andia decided to go mobile by bringing sundae bars to weddings, corporate, and private events, as well as wholesaling to local hotels and restaurants.
2016
Brand Evolution Pt. 1
After developing a strong following, repeat guests began confessing they felt our name and logo were not aligning with our quality. In 2016, Andia and her family met with branding experts, and Andia's Homemade Ice Cream was born!
2017 & Beyond
Our Retail Shops
Requests for a retail location increased, and the 3-year search for the perfect spot led us to our first shop in West Cary Park Town Center. Since then, we opened 2 new Cary & Raleigh shops in 2020 & 2023 and entered the Durham scene in 2024.
2021
Brand Evolution Pt. 2
After a lot of thought & intention, we decided to refresh the brand to "Andia’s Ice Cream" to match the increasingly premium quality of our product.
2023
Andia's Goes International
After thousands of comments on our Instagram & TikTok accounts from people across North America asking for our ice cream, we partnered with Goldbelly to ship our products across the U.S. and Canada.
